Alice "Faye" Hunter Pittman, 84, of Cordele passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Pittman at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Oak Ridge Cemetery. She will be laid to eternal rest with her husband of 41 years, Richard E. Pittman.
Mrs. Pittman's son's-in-law, Del Brandenburg and Greg Palmer along with her grandsons, Brett Brandenburg, Bryce Brandenburg, Graham Palmer and granddaughter's fiance, Sam Douglas will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 27, 1937, in Baxley, Mrs. Pittman was the daughter of the late Edsel Ford Hunter and Annie Bell McNeal Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard Edward Pittman and beloved sisters, Helen Aspinwall and Doris Brown.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Angie Brandenburg (Del) of Cordele, GA and Jennifer Palmer (Greg) of Naples, Fl; five grandchildren, Brett Brandenburg (Melissa) and Ali Palmer (Sam Douglas) of Atlanta, GA, Bryce Brandenburg (Amy) of Tifton, Graham Palmer of Augusta and Janie Morgan Palmer of Naples, FL; two great-granddaughters, Bailey Brandenburg of Atlanta and Blakely Brandenburg of Tifton; two sisters and their husbands, Joanne Dowd (James) of Jacksonville, FL and Lora Carter (Allen) of Savannah; one brother and sister-in-law, E. F. and Pat Hunter of Baxley; and two brothers-in-law, Charlie Brown of Dothan, Alabama and Joe Aspinwall of Odum, GA.
Faye's beautiful spirit was contagious. She made friends everywhere she went. Her Earthly days were well spent enjoying travel with family and friends, cooking delicious Southern meals, doting on her daughter's families and entertaining her beloved grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Angie and Jennifer know Faye would be most honored if you would simply pass on her lifelong spirit of generosity in ways she loved, perhaps spending Sunday lunch with family, gifting a child's needs this Christmas or stopping for conversation and a chat with a friend.
