Rita Miller O’Quinn, 75, of Tifton passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Harborview Nursing Center in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. O’Quinn at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Glenn Ford will officiate.
Born July 19, 1947, in Blakely, Georgia, Mrs. O’Quinn was the daughter of the late Otis Zack Miller, Sr. and Peggy Andrews Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Patrick O’Quinn. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Augusta University School of Nursing and, before retiring, she worked at Tift Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. O’Quinn is survived by her husband, Michael (Mickey) Vernon O’Quinn of Tifton; two sons, Michael Vernon O’Quinn II and Bryan O’Quinn, both of Tifton; two brothers, Otis Zack Miller Jr. and Dan E. Miller, Sr. (Pat), all of Sylvester; two sisters, Doris Miller-Liebl (Fred) of Watkinsville and Peggy Clark (Mark) of Portage, Michigan; one granddaughter, Cristianna O’Quinn of Tifton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
