Leslie McKie Padgett, 47, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with Dr. Tom Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Padgett was born November 22, 1975, in Tifton, Georgia, to Carol Walker McKie & the late Harold McKie. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1994 and received two Associate’s Degrees from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Mrs. Padgett was a Children’s Director for the Ocilla Baptist Church, taught preschool at the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald and was a substitute teacher and Paraprofessional for Tiftarea Academy. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Mike Padgett of Abbeville; her three children: Grace Padgett, Emma Claire Padgett and Mackie Padgett; her mother, Carol Walker McKie of Abbeville; a brother, Paul McKie & Tracy of Abbeville and several nieces and nephews.
