He was born in August 1932 in Hackensack, NJ to Kathryn A. and Abraham Lincoln Heck Sr. and raised in Tarrytown, NY and then spent his adult life in Newton and Needham, MA. Prior to his retirement and move to Needham, he was a parishioner at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes in Newton Upper Falls and played guitar for their folk Mass and was a leader in the charismatic group at the Cenacle in Brighton.

Lincoln is survived by his children: Maria Swanson (Joel) of Sewickley, PA: Paul of Washington DC: and Lisa of Hyde Park, MA as well as beloved grandchildren William Swanson, Kathryn Swanson, Ben Swanson, Rose Swanson, Gabriel Heck, Yvette Heck, Joy Christman (Mark), Thomas Heck, Alexander Heck and Christian Heck.
