Elaine Horn, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Friday, November 25, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Sammy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Horn was born December 20, 1949, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Clarence & Martha Graham Nelson. She was a former employee of Irwin Manufacturing and was also a pilot car driver. Mrs. Horn loved to fish and read and she was also an avid Braves fan. She was a member of Callie Garbutt Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joe Horn of Fitzgerald; a son, Jimmy Horn & Dale of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Ann Scott & Nick of Fitzgerald; ten grandchildren: Haley Green, Michael Horn, Leann McLeod & Mark, Katie Horn, Dustin Peters, Lana Peters, Coleen Jackson & Josh, Nicole Scott, Beth Layfield & Daniel and Keylie Green; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Jane Deen of Tennessee and a brother, Dennis Nelson & Gwen of Anderson, South Carolina.
