Angelica DaLomba (Neves) Rose was born on April 4, 1923 in Brava, Cape Verde Islands to Regina DePina DaLomba Neves Valles and Domingo DaLomba Neves. Angelica's health began to decline shortly after celebrating her 99th birthday with family and friends. On November 16, 2022, her heart gave way and she transitioned surrounded by her children and family.

Angelica was raised and attended school in Brava, Cape Verde Islands. In the year of 1949 Angelica met her husband Arthur Duarte Rose. They were married and came to live in New Bedford, MA where she lived for the remainder of her long life. She was a member of Our Lady of The Assumption Church. Angelica was employed as a seamstress for The International Ladies Garment Workers Union for 25 years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and also the Bisca Tournament Club of New Bedford. On Sunday after church and Sunday dinner, Angelica enjoyed watching the Cape Verdean channel, and the Lawrence Welk and the Ed Sullivan shows.
