Mr. David G. Chalmers, a resident of Arlington, passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was 80 years old.
Born in Cambridge on September 5, 1942 and raised in Medford, he was the beloved son of the late George D. and Pauline (Snow) Chalmers. David was retired from Harvard University where he had been employed as a Library Guard, for many years. He had a wonderful memory for old times and loved to send cards for any occasion. He was a very devoted brother, uncle, family member and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
David is survived by his siblings; Donald and his wife Eleanor Chalmers of Methuen, MA; Paul Chalmers and Judy Clayman of Boca Raton, FL; Douglas and his wife Claudia Chalmers of Ft. Worth, TX; Susan Chalmers Freeman of Seattle, WA; and Richard and his wife Kathleen Chalmers of Wilmington, MA.
Visitation will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
