Richard “Richie” Alphonse McPherson passed away suddenly on October 13, 2022 at the age of 45.
Richie was born in Boston, MA on December 25, 1976, firstborn son of Richard J McPherson and the late Diane (Hughes) McPherson. Richie was the proud and adoring older brother to the late Francis “Frankie” McPherson. Richie was loved, cherished, and raised by his Aunt Debbie Hughes and Uncle Archie Donovan along with little cousin Stephen.
Richie is lovingly survived by his daughters Hailey & Niamh McPherson, and their mother, his devoted friend, Aileen Gorman, and his son Phoenix Reardon. He is also survived by many adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He grew up in Charlestown and was educated by The Boston Public School System. He was an Iron Worker by trade and took great pride in his time with the union. He loved music and going to concerts. Richie unfortunately, but bravely, battled with addiction for the majority of his life and that took him away from all of the things and more importantly, the people, that undoubtedly meant the most to him. We truly believe he is at peace now and with his brother, Frankie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richie's visiting hours on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
