Jesse Harold Arnett, 86, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Veterans Hospital in Dublin. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenny Kicklighter officiating. Mr. Arnett will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born October 31, 1936, in Tifton, Mr. Arnett was the son of the late Jesse Bonner Arnett and Mary Allena Baker Arnett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Darden Arnett; one brother, Herbert Arnett; and one sister, Mary Nell Arnett. He was a self-employed businessman and farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict and he was a Mason.
Mr. Arnett is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Monica Johnston of Snellville; one step-daughter, April Scarborough of Tifton; three grandchildren, Caroline Johnston, Elijah Johnston and Gideon Johnson; and two nephews, Richard Arnett and his wife Meredith, and Michael Arnett, all of Tifton.
