Walter E. Tripp, 86, of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Janice S. (Briggs) Tripp.
Mr. Tripp was born in Dartmouth, son of the late Nathan E. and Flora L. (Wilkie) Tripp and had been a lifelong resident of the town. Prior to retirement, he worked as the estate caretaker for The Meadows, Dartmouth. Whether it be farming or landscaping, he loved to be outdoors. He cared deeply for his community and always offered a helping hand. He will be remembered as a prankster that always left you guessing. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors along with his wife include his children: Pamelia L. Camara of Westport, Walter E. Tripp, Jr. of Dartmouth, Roy W. Tripp and his wife Jeanne of Dartmouth and Bradford M. Tripp and his wife Tammy of New Bedford; his son from the heart: Sebastian A. Lassalle of Dartmouth; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews,
He was the brother of the late Albion Tripp, Nathan Tripp, Jr., Elizabeth King and Howard Tripp.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home from 4-6 P.M.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
