Edward Joseph Szczepaniak, 97, of Worcester, died at home on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was the husband of Jeannette (Marcinkiewicz) for sixty-four years until her death in 2014.
He leaves three daughters Janice Wychorski and husband Philip of Hilton, NY, Karen Castagno and husband Anthony of Eastham, MA, and Nancy Meehan and husband Mark of Worcester MA; three grandchildren Katherine, David, and Emily; two nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Gladys Pruszynski and brother Charles Stephens.
Mr. Szczepaniak was born in Worcester in 1925, the son of Walter and Aniela (Jarmurz) Szczepaniak and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1943. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving with the 69th Infantry Division in Europe. He retired as a school custodian from the City of Worcester and previously worked for the US Envelope Company.
Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., is assisting the family.
