Christine Harrington, 58, was called home on Monday, November 7, 2022 after a long heroic battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Rita Harrington of E. Longmeadow. She was born in Springfield and attended local schools and was most recently employed by Loomis Village for over 20 years. She was such a kind, loving, caring, very generous and hard working woman who never failed to add a ray of sunshine to your day. Her beautiful smile would always light up the room. Besides her mom, she is survived by her loving partner, Douglas Bittman; her three brothers, Daniel Harrington of Springfield, Thomas Harrington of Springfield and Michael Harrington and his wife Corinne of Springfield and many wonderful friends and family members. We would like to thank the incredible staff at Mercy Hospital and particularly Dr. Glynn for their devoted years of treatment and loving care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A private burial will be held at a later date.
