Mark T. Powers, 63, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022 in his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Weymouth, MA on April 26, 1959, a son of Francis and Grace (Houlahan) Powers. He had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 37 years, proudly choosing the town for its excellent school system.
Mark was a competitive golfer, dedicated Boston sports fan, and an accomplished Northeastern University graduate. He was a talented computer software engineer and worked diligently to enjoy vacations on Cape Cod; savoring Chatham sunrises while listening to his favorite band, The Grateful Dead. In addition to all of his passions, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his wife, Dianne (Williamson) Powers of Londonderry; his son, Scott Powers and his wife Maddalena; his daughter, Emily Standbridge and her husband Douglas; his grandchildren, Arriana and Carter Powers; two sisters, Maureen Feehan and her husband Richard, and Karen Young and her husband Steve; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mark is also survived by his dear, lifelong friend Andy Morse. He was predeceased by his siblings, William Powers, Robert Powers, and Sheila Powers.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 20th from 1:00-4:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Tee New Hampshire, a youth golf program that helps build skill and character, just like the Londonderry Youth Golf Program Mark created in the late 90s.
