Obituary

Twila Bell (Peggy) Petitt graduated to heaven on Thursday, November 3rd. Peggy was 94 years old at the time of her death having been born on September 5th, 1928 in York, Nebraska. She passed away in a painless, peaceful sleep surrounded by those who loved her. She often said that her prayer was to meet the Lord while she was sleeping, God answered her prayers.
Peggy was preceded in death in 2016 by her husband of 70 years, Bill Petitt. Peggy and Bill met at the end of WWII in Peggy’s hometown.
Peggy’s main passion was her family. She raised three children; Robert Dean Petitt of Bullhead City, Arizona, Sharon Kay (Petitt) Hill of Ventura and the late Brenda Diane (Petitt) Valentine also of Ventura. In addition, she is survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; Rob Petitt (Austin & Hunter), Chad Petitt, Scott Hill, Nikki Hill, Chip Valentine (Cole & Jolene), Tiffany (Valentine) Taylor (Mason & Jackson), Teona (Valentine) Brown (Sydney) and Tawny (Valentine) Weber (Jacob, Jared & Julian).
Her other passion was Bingo. She is well known in the local Bingo circles and she never missed an opportunity to play and socialize with her friends.
Additionally, Peggy was a great cook. Her dishes of both midwestern recipes and those of the deep south brought a lot of happiness and full stomachs to the Petitt dining table.
Peggy was the matriarch of the Petitt family, and she exemplified what that meant. Her children were the envy of their friends because Peggy made all of them feel so welcome when they came over to the Petitt house.
