Obituary

RONALD D. WARK

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle

Nashua - Ronald D. Wark, 74, of Nashua, N.H. passed away peacefully on October 31,2022 surrounded by his loving family, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H. after an extended illness.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Marcia, with whom he recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 1st.

Mr. Wark was born in Woburn, MA. on March 21, 1948, son of the late George H. Wark and Ida Margaret (McLaurin) Wark.
Raised in Westford, MA., he attended Graniteville Methodist Church and was active in the church's youth group. Ron graduated from Westford Academy Class of 1966 and was a proud member of the Wamesit Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., Tewksbury, MA.

Ron was a truck driver for over 40 years before retiring in 2010 from Packaging Corp. of America. He was employed by Commodore Foods in Westford for many years, the Westford Highway Dept., and drove for C.R. England, Salt Lake City, UT. and was the proud owner of his own Peterbilt truck for several years. Ron also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Nabnasset Fire Station in Westford during the 1970's.

Ron (a.k.a. PA1) was an avid history buff and enjoyed collecting coins, antique toys, walking sticks and canes. Fond of classic country music, Johnny Cash was his favorite. His clever "free style poetry" and quick-witted rhymes, specifically the "3 Little Rabbit" story a.k.a. the "Foot, Foot-Foot and Foot-Foot-Foot" story will continue to make his family laugh. His wife's potato salad and peanut butter cookies were Ron's favorites and in true Wark family tradition, he "had to have ketchup".

Mr. Wark is survived by his five children:

David A. Wark and daughter-in-law Kelly of Litchfield, N.H.

Donna L. Wyman and her partner Dan Dinucci of Fitchburg, MA.

Shawn G. Wark and daughter-in-law Kristen of Leominster, MA.

Rebecca A. Brophy and son-in-law Dennis, of W. Roxbury, MA.

Christine A. Ouellet and son-in-law Ric of Templeton, MA.

Ron leaves behind his sister Janet E. Wark, brother-in-law David H. Smith, his 10 grandchildren and niece and nephews, all of whom he adored. Also, last but not least, his cocker-spaniel, Coco. a.k.a. "baby girl".

His daughter Michelle Lee Wark and brother Shanning D. Wark predecease him.

Ron was a wonderful husband, doting father and grandfather, loving brother and uncle who will be sorely missed by all who knew him and love him so very much.

Out of respect for Mr. Wark's wishes there will be no calling hours or services.

The Wark Family wishes to extend a grateful thank you to the staff at Community Hospice House and the nurses and doctors at So. New Hampshire Medical Center for their compassionate care of Ron and their caring support of our family.
