Obituary

LuAnn (Johnson) Peters, age 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 31, 2022. She was born on March 6, 1950 in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Walter and Mable (Paul) Johnson. LuAnn worked for many years as a Surgical Technician at Surgicare in Mt Sinai before being acquired by St Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. She was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Enfield. Shortly after retirement, she moved to Sanford, North Carolina where she was an active member at Swann Station Baptist Church. LuAnn was often in attendance of activities for her grandchildren including sports or concerts. She was also an avid Greenbay Packers fan who could be heard cheering from a distance. She is predeceased by her beloved husband David Mark who passed away in 2019. She is survived by 4 step daughters, April Salvas and her husband Michael of Enfield, Amber Carbone and her boyfriend Tray Tudisca of Colchester, CT, Kasey Beninato and her husband Michael of Somers, CT and Kelly Peters and her fiancé Shawn Byron of Wolcott, CT; 3 sisters, Carin Hintz of WI, Marsha Kalkofen and her husband James of MT and Myrna Johnson and her partner Ron of CA and 6 beloved grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Desmond, Dylan, Rachel and Rylee. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Faith Baptist Church, 182 Broad Brook Rd, Enfield, CT. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
