Margaret A. “Peggy” Young, 86, died peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Saint Patrick’s Manor following a period of declining health.
She was born in Dracut on July 8, 1936 the daughter of the late John W.P. Young and Bridget T. (Ahern) Young.
Peggy is survived by her sister Emma E. (Young) Colcord of Southborough and her brother Paul F. Young of Weston. She was the sister of the late Theresa Tuttle, John W. Young and Louis J. Young. Peggy is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a lifelong resident of Weston and resided in Marlborough for many years. She received her nurses training at the Long Island Hospital in Boston. For over 40 years, she was a LPN in the Operating Room at Waltham Hospital before her retirement.
Peggy loved to travel all over the world and enjoyed the time spent with family especially taking her nieces and nephews for long walks in the Weston Woods as well as many years spent on the Cape.
She will be fondly remembered by all those who loved her and the many lives that she touched in her 86 years.
Visitations will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:45 am followed by a prayer service at 12:00 noon at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Young family lot in Linwood Cemetery in Weston.
