Obituary

Charlene (Michaud) Ayotte, 68 of Worcester died October 29th at home surrounded by family. She leaves her partner of over 40 years, James Hale of Worcester; a daughter, Tina Ayotte of Worcester; two sons, Gerald Ayotte, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Oakham and James Ayotte of Worcester; a brother James Haggerty of Spencer; a sister, Nancy Michaud of Worcester; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Cabana.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Albert, Jr. and Madeliene (Miville) Michaud. Charlene worked in the shipping and receiving department at Ames for 20 years and later worked in housekeeping at Royal Spring Valley Nursing Center. You could often find Charlene playing “Bubble Witch” on her tablet, watching every Red Sox game possible, and scratching a scratch ticket. She was known to start her day with her Dunkin’ coffee and ending it spending time with her family. She would enjoy playing the card game “Skipoh” with her family and kept record in a notebook where the score is now around one-hundred thousand. Charlene loved the beach and would take her children when they were little to Hampton beach every few years for vacation.

Her calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. followed by a brief service in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
