Obituary

Elena Gerve Kuncaitis

December 15, 1920 - October 24, 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of ElenaGerve Kuncaitis on October 24, 2022 at the age of 101. The beloved wife of Juozas (predeceased). Mother of two: Gryte, Arunas and his wife Denise. Grandmother of four: Audra, Gentry and his wife Michy, Kenda and her husband Jimmy and Ale-Ruta and her fiance Topher. Great Grandmother of six: Ridley, D’yon, Auri, Mikaela, Willa & Wade. Also, a great great grandmother to Sevyn.

Born in Lithuania and raised with 11 siblings who have predeceased her, she immigrated to the United States from Germany in the 1950’s. Juozas and her built a solid happy family life in Boston surrounded by her many friends and acquaintances. The St. Peter’s Lithuanian Church family gave her so much social and spiritual support. An avid basketball fan, we would find her cheering for the Celtics, especially Isiah Thomas (as she called him- Tomas) while eating her Klondike bars. Her laughter could be heard while watching “Wipe-Out” and exclaiming “Life is Good.” Her life motto was “Sokiu ir Dainuoju”- “ I’m Singing and Dancing”. Her family wishes this for her in perpetuity.

Services will be held at St. Peter’s Lithuanian Church on Thursday November 3, 2022 at 10am. Visitation will be held prior to the mass at 9am at the Church. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville, Cape Cod.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to your favorite charity in her name.
