Joanne Marie Maldonado (82) of Brockton died October 26th in the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Gilberto Maldonado.
She was born in Brockton daughter of the late Frank Howard Johnson and Mary (Sullivan) Johnson. Joanne was a retired factory worker. She was considered “Ma” to anyone who knew her, spreading her loved far and wide to everyone who crossed her path in their time of need. Joanne loved to take care of people, she took in many children raising them as her own. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. Joanne loved telling stories, joking and getting dolled up. She was never without her favorite cup of tea. Joanne was a loving wife to “Pappy” and devoted to him until his recent passing. She is very loved and will be missed greatly by all.
Joanne is survived by her children, Donald Paine, Marie Paine, Theresa Baker, Dominga Maldonado, Mark Maldonado, Alan Paine, Thomas Lewis, Aaron Lewis, Deanera Lewis and Mark (Ben) Chassey, her sisters, Carol Huntress, Nancy Gilmore, Louise Gloddy and the late Margie Gloddy, her grandchildren, Malissa Merianos, Jamie Baker, Kelly Baker, Korin Isaacs, Analiese Maldonado, Levi Oquendo, Adriana Paine, AJ Paine, Alana Paine, Katelyn Peters, Noah Lewis, Trevor Lewis and Henry Ainslie, the late son in law Alan Kimball, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday November 2nd from 5-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
