Priscilla M. Parten, 77, of Barrington, NH (Previously of Derry, NH), died peacefully Sunday, October 23, 2022 after a two year battle with cancer. She was born in Lowell, MA on December 7, 1944, a daughter of Ralph and Margaret (McDonagh) Newton. Priscilla worked for many years as a social worker and clinical psychotherapist for Easterseals, Carney Hospital and as a sole proprietor.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Parten and Ethan Parten; daughter, Delora (Parten) Power; three grandchildren; sister, Delora (Newton) Ward, and several extended family members. Priscilla is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Parten.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am in West Parish Garden Cemetery, 129 Reservation Road, Andover, MA. The burial will follow in West Parish Garden Cemetery.
