Phyllis Elaine (Bushong) Estelle, 87, of Anderson, passed away at home on October 18, 2022.
She was born on September 9, 1935 in Anderson, the daughter of Norman and Kathryn (Comstock) Bushong. She was a civilian telephone operator at Ft. Benjamin Harrison retiring in 1979. She also worked at Village Pantry and Meijer. She attended Bethany Christian Church and was a former member of #154 O.E.S. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, camping at Shak a mack State Park, fishing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
She is survived by her six children; Starr Cookman, Jerry L (Pamela) Estelle, Jr., Brenda (Chuck) Parker, Phillip Estelle, Kevin Estelle, Jennifer Fauss; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 ½ years, Jerry L. Estelle, Sr.; siblings, Keith Bushong, Gail Morse, Norma Shanahan, Margaret Williamson, Alice Bemish, David Bushong, Erma Jean Bushong; granddaughter, Melissa Cookman; great grandson, Rowan Ashley.
Funeral services will on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 PM with an Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Visitation also one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Chapter 154 of Order of the Eastern Star.
