Obituary


Paul J. Puleo, of Tewksbury, formerly of Malden and Medford, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Care One of Wilmington Nursing Facility following a lengthy illness. He was 82. Paul is the beloved husband of Karen A. Hammond- Puleo. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Vincent and Frances (Pagliarulo) Puleo.

Paul was raised and educated in Medford where he was a graduate of Medford High School. He proudly served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1964. He worked for a number of years as a manager and administrator in the computer technology field. More recently Paul enjoyed working as a talented handy man helping friends and neighbors with any odd job that needed attention. In his leisure time he and Karen enjoyed traveling, especially spending time in Newport, RI. They also enjoyed walking together and sharing time with friends and family. Paul was also a past member of the Methuen Rod and Gun Club.

Paul is the cherished brother of Dolores Esposito of Deerfield Beach, FL and her late husband Joseph, and the late Charles "Chucky" Puleo. He is the loving uncle of Peter Esposito, Mark Esposito, Deborah Esposito, Patricia Bonasera and her husband Tracy Shidlow, Melissa Bonasera and Christina Almeida. Loving great uncle of Ally and Jack Almeida.

A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Saturday, October 22nd, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment services will be private. It has been requested that In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Paul's memory to Care One at Wilmington c/o Activities Dept., 750 Woburn St., Wilmington, MA 01887.
