Glenn M. Oliveira, 66, of New Bedford passed away Sunday October 16, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Leopold and Claire (Santos) Oliveira.
Glenn was formerly employed as a commercial scallop fishing captain.
He enjoyed sailing, cooking, carpentry, and watching the Weather Channel. He also enjoyed traveling to Martha’s Vineyard and the Caribbean and spending time in Fort Myers, Florida. He loved living the RV life.
He is survived by his children, Sally A. Sheridan of Marion, Glenn Oliveira, Jr. and his wife Britt of Oceanside, CA, and Sara Mills and her husband Shane of Rochester; his siblings, Deborah Phelan and her husband Andrew of Albany, NY, Cynthia Anterni and her husband John of Seekonk, Michelle Oliveira and her companion Svein Benestad of New Bedford, David Oliveira and his wife Laurie of Fort Myers, FL, Dennis Oliveira and his wife Cheryl of New Bedford, and Daniel and Cindy Oliveira of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Ethan Cardoza and his wife Cailyn, Jakob Cardoza, Brady, Chase, and Vivian Mills, and a new granddaughter expected in March; his great-grandson, Asher Cardoza; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his nephew and Godson, Kevin Oliveira.
