Obituary

George E. Jackson, Jr., of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully after complications from a long battle with COPD on Thursday, October 13, 2022. He was born in Arlington on November 4, 1946, the son of the late Eleanor O. Jackson, and the late George E. "Speed" Jackson, Sr.

He grew up and was educated in Burlington. As a young boy he spent much of his time at his fathers service station in Arlington where his love for cars was born. He loved all things related to car racing ,and loved to spend time at any race track. He worked as a cross country truck driver for various trucking companies, and would often stop along his journeys to attend a NASCAR race. He had a great sense of humor, and a quick wit that will be missed by many, He had a love for life and could make anyone laugh without even trying, and he loved to dance. He was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

He is survived by his children, Ken and his wife Michelle Jackson, George Jackson and his partner Melissa, Marianne Svenson and her husband Dave and Steven Jackson. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 7 great grand children, and his sister Marjorie, two step grandchildren, and a step great great grandchild. In addition, he leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was predeceased by his son Richard Jackson, and his sister Barbara.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday November 5, 2022 at the Bunting Club from 12pm until 4pm.  The Bunting Club is located at 449 Boylston St, Lowell, MA 01852.
