Carol Ann (Miller) Klempa, age 75, a 20-year resident of Woburn, formerly of Everett, passed away on Wednesday Oct. 12, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis M. Klempa.
Born, raised and educated in Cambridge, she attended Cambridge public schools.
She met and married Frank and they made their home in Everett, where they raised their family.
Carol worked as a nanny for over 20 years, always providing loving care while forming lasting relationships. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed shopping, and spending quality time with friends and family. Known for her generosity, Carol donated to many charitable causes, and, in her own words, “she never met a piece of chocolate she didn’t like.”
Carol is lovingly survived by her children: Frank Klempa and his wife Kim, Craig Klempa and his wife Monica, and Lisa Govostes and her husband Chuck, all of Woburn. She was the devoted grandmother of Kristen Klempa, Sara Klempa, Craig Klempa, Jr. and Christopher Govostes, the dear sister of Dorothy “Dottie” Colarusso and her late husband Phil of Salem, NH and the late Edna and Roberta. She was also the cherished aunt of Kim Moreira, Heidi Pina, Wendy Grover, Jody Swindle and Heather Sousa. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visitation at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Tuesday, October 18, from 4-7PM and again on Wed. morning at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10AM.
