New Bedford – Pauline M. (Costa) Goncalves, aged 65, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Alcides Goncalves.
Pauline was born in Salga, St. Michael, Azores and was the beloved daughter of the late Domingos Costa and Filomena (de Melo) Costa. She moved to this country over 50 years ago and proudly obtained her Bachelor’s Degree. She went on to work at both Hathaway Furniture and Furniture City over the years. She enjoyed cooking and loved her grandchildren dearly.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Kelvin Goncalves, Justin Goncalves and Jonathan Goncalves; grandchildren, Alexus Goncalves and Karter Goncalves; as well as her sisters, Ligia Sousa and Fatima Gaudencio.
She was predeceased by her late brother, Nuno Costa.
Pauline’s funeral arrangements were held privately.
