New Bedford – Ana doConceicao Rego (Furtado) Melo, age 68, of New Bedford, MA, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Dinis Peixoto Melo.
Ana was born in St Michael, Azores, Portugal and was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel Pimentel Furtado and Conceicao Guilherme Furtado. She had worked as a Machine Operator for Local Factories.
Ana is survived by her husband Dinis; her siblings, Jose Furtado Rego, Luis Furtado Rego, Afonso Furtado Rego, Norberto Furtado Rego and Gilberto Furtado Rego; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ana’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
