Lucy J. Ruscio

TEWKSBURY Lucy J. Ruscio, 81, of Tewksbury, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Blaire House of Tewksbury after a long illness. A daughter of the late Guiseppe Ruscio and the late Filomena (Cappuccio) Ruscio, she was born April 5, 1941, in Everett where she was raised and educated. She then moved to Chelsea before residing in Burlington. Then when her family was young, she moved to Tewksbury where she made her home until her death.

Lucy was a longtime parishioner of St. William’s Church. Her family meant the most to her and her grandchildren were her world, she was the best example of an extremely devoted and loving grandmother to them and to their own children. In addition, she loved shopping, gardening, spending time by her pool, bird watching, was an animal lover, and especially loved her several cats and dogs. She enjoyed Casino, Bingo, and trips to the beach, mainly Revere Beach.

She was a homemaker while her children were young, and then worked for Semicon of Burlington in quality control.

Her survivors include her two sons, Douglas McGeoghegan and his wife, Susan, of North Billerica and Paul McGeoghegan of Tewksbury, her daughter in law Nancy Mcgeoghegan of Woburn; her five beloved grandchildren, Shawn McGeoghegan of Billerica, Jaclyn McGeoghegan and her fiance, Joe Medeiros, of Lowell and Billerica, Darren Elmore, Kayla Daley and Nicoletta Miller; her two great grandchildren, Jordan and Emma; her sister, Jean Ascoli of Rhode Island; her brother, Tony Ruscio of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her son, Steven McGeoghegan, as well as her former husband and good friend, the late William McGeoghegan.

You are invited to her calling hours from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061.
