Ethel (Tootie) O'Donnell Pappas, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
She was born July 23, 1939 to John O'Donnell and Ethel Youngblood O'Donnell in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
She is survived by her brother Jack O'Donnell of Plymouth, PA; her 3 daughters, Michelle Pappas Stammel (Ken) of Ledyard, CT, Patricia Pappas Martin (Tim) of North Stonington and Jacqueline Pappas Burton of New Braunfels, TX. She was a loving Mimi/Yiayia to her 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mom loved her apartment in downtown Mystic. She lived there for 23 years. She would often be found at her kitchen window in the morning enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee doing the crossword and jumble and watching the beautiful boats go past on the Mystic River.
To honor Mom's character, we ask that all who wish to participate make a donation to the animal shelter of their choice in Mom's name.
