Obituary

Portsmouth, NH: Gloria J. (Moreau) Morris age 72, formerly of Marblehead, MA, died Friday at the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Ralph L. “Bud” Morris.
Born in Danvers and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Bouchard) Moreau. Gloria and her husband lived most of their married life in Marblehead. Shortly after he retired from the Marblehead Police Department, the couple moved to West Newfield, ME. While living in Marblehead they belonged to the Gerry 5 (Veteran Firemen’s Assoc.) and attended Ste. Anne Church in Salem. Mrs. Morris moved to the Portsmouth area when her health began to fail several years ago.
She is survived by a son: Ronald W. Morris, Sr. and his wife Colette of Lisbon, NH, 2 daughters: Gail M. Chalifour and her husband Daniel of Portsmouth, NH, Nancy J. Conrad and her husband Daniel of South Berwick, ME, also 9 grandchildren: Amanda, Stacey, R.J., Brian & Samantha Morris, Chad & Kristin Chalifour, Holly & Craig Conrad. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Kyler, Katelyn & Cole as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Ann Gallagher.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem, MA [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Tuesday 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead, MA.
