Obituary

Mrs. Jeanne D’Arc (Rodrigue) Dostie, 101, of Apollo Beach , Fl, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Rosecastle at Delaney Creek in Brandon, FL. Born in St. Séverin PQ Canada, she moved to the Lawrence area in her late 40's and lived in the Merrimack Valley until she moved to Florida 17 years ago and lived with her son. She was always proud of her work for the war effort from 1939 to 1945 .She retired as a machine operator at Malden Mills, Mrs. Dostie was an excellent seamstress, she also enjoyed crocheting, and knitting. She was a shuffleboard champ when she wintered in Florida with her husband Armand and enjoyed her many friends there. Most of all Mrs. Dostie loved to spend time with her family. The widow of Jean B. Sirois and Armand Dostie .She was also pre-deceased by her daughter Céline Sirois 1957 1958 and son Jean Guy Sirois 1947 2018 She is survived by four daughters: Colette Bettencourt, Sylvie Brunelle, Linda Remillard and Chantal McEneaney and four sons: Leopold Sirois, Gaston Sirois, Gilles Sirois and Marcel Sirois, five sisters: Antoinette Blier, Carmen LaChance, Claudette Bourgoin, Line Blais and Denise Rodrigue there are 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut, MA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on October 28th at St. Theresa Church in Methuen, burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
