Marchetti, Joyce Louise (Hussey) of Natick and White Horse Beach in Plymouth, formerly of Wellesley and West Newton passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2022. Joyce was born on July 17, 1941 in Norwich CT to the late Walter and Louise Hussey. Beloved wife of Frederick V. Marchetti. Devoted mother of Joan Marchetti of Melbourne, Australia, David A Marchetti and his wife Marie of Medway and the late Jeffrey Marchetti. Grandmother of Kayla Donovan and her husband James, Andrew Marchetti and his partner Tiana Balzarini, and Colby Marchetti. Great-grandmother of Grace Donovan. She was the second of four Hussey girls. Sister of Joan Goodwin and her late husband Richard E. of Ft. Myers, FL, Dianne and Jack Hester of Wellesley, and Donna and Gerald Cody of Cullowhee, NC. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Newton High School then went on to St. Elizabeth’s to be an X-Ray Technician. She retired from Wellesley Middle School where she was loved by all. She treasured her time at White Horse Beach floating on her inner tube and chatting with friends. Her sense of humor and enthusiasm for life was infectious. Her heart was as big as the Atlantic Ocean.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley on Monday, Oct. 10 from 4-7pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
