Obituary

CHICOPEE – Alice M. (Moreau) Brady, 96, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, October 2, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Daybrook Village in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Chicopee on September 29, 1926, a beloved daughter of the late Hormidas and Denise (Boutin) Moreau. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She was employed as a Clerk for 25 years for the City of Chicopee and had worked in the Collector’s Office and later the Treasurer’s Office. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, William “Bill” Brady who was Called Home on August 23, 2006. They were married on October 12, 1950 at the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 55 years of happiness together. She leaves her two loving children, Denise E. Tabin and her husband, Robert, of Holyoke and Joseph P. Brady and his wife, Nancy, of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren, David Brady, Melanie Smith, Rob Tabin and his wife, Lauren, Michelle Anamisis and her husband, Costas “Gus” Anamisis, Jamie Tabin and his wife, Deborah, Jennifer Carney and her husband, Jason, and Steven Brady and his wife, Jody; her 18 cherished great grandchildren, Bernadette Wade, David Brady, Jr., D’Vonne Brady, Onyx Brady, Rosemary Smith, Trinity Smith, Ashlyn Taylor and her husband, Kvon, Robbie Tabin, Alexis Anamisis, Julia Anamisis, Nisha Tabin, Mahaya Tabin, Anjali Tabin, Nayan Tabin, Ryan Carney, Alex Carney, Isabella Brady and Everly Brady; her cherished great great grandson, Kvon Taylor, Jr.; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, close friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her loving son and daughter in law, Michael W. Brady who was Called Home on November 21, 2012 and his wife, Gabriele Brady who was Called Home on August 22, 2005; and her four dear sisters, Helen Lemoine and her husband, Rene, Marie Lemoine and her husband, Rene, Hilda Peltier and her husband, Alphonse, and Edna Proulx and her husband, Aurele. Her family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (please meet directly at the church). Her Burial will follow the Mass at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. There are no visiting hours. Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
