MELROSE____Dorothy “Deedy” Theresa (Dubois) Brigida, 57, of Melrose, died Wednesday, May 17 in Cambridge Hospital after a long illness.
She leaves two daughters, Tania (Misale) Kruzewski and her husband Derek of Worcester and Angelina Brigida of Clearwater, FL, her mother, Eleanor (Shaylor) Dubois of Inverness, FL, two sisters, Patricia Bair of Charlton and Nancy Geake of Inverness, FL, two grandsons, Sid and Ryan Kruzewski of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Donald Dubois. Deedy was born and raised in Worcester and has lived in Melrose for the last 11 years.
Ms. Brigida was a Respiratory Therapist as well as a talented artist. She was the former owner of The Fig Leaf at Union Place, Worcester and designed and sewed many of her own patterns and clothing. She graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School in Worcester and was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church in Worcester.
The Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday May 22 in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St., Worcester. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
