Obituary



Ettore “Andy” Rosatone, of Peabody, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Wednesday, September 28th. He was 85. Born and raised in Prezza, Abruzzo, Italy, he was the cherished son of the late Francesco and Rosaria (Pasquale) Rosatone.

Andy had a passion for gardening. He had a natural green thumb, his garden was meticulously taken care of and he always made sure to plant enough tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers to share with his family and friends. When Andy was not gardening, he enjoyed making and jarring his homemade sauce. Andy loved to cook for his children and grandchildren. All of his homemade delicacies were delicious especially his famous polenta and linguine with clam sauce

He was the devoted father of Rosaria Fodera and her husband Gaetano of Peabody, Elio Rosatone and his wife Bridget of North Reading and Michelle Breen and her husband Todd of Peabody. He was the loving Papa of Gino and his wife Maura, Andrew and Alexandra, Stephanie and her husband Paul, Matthew, Isabella, Zachary, Aidan and Sophia. Great Papa of Gaetano, Anna, Tessio, Lena, Benjamin and Mia. He was the dear brother of Fernando Rosatone and the late Adelina, Elena, Antonia, Anna and Gemma. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, October 4th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
