Leo Novell Pickard, 80, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Pickard at a later date.
Born December 23, 1941, in Winter Haven, Florida, Mr. Pickard was the son of the late Harold Leland Pickard and Stella Rowe Pickard. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Ann Pickard, who passed away on February 22, 2022, and one sister, Barbara Rowan. Before retiring, he was an insurance adjuster with Geico Insurance Company. He was a member of the Tifton Lions Club; the Shriners and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a faithful blood donor, and he was a member of Enigma Christian Church.
Mr. Pickard is survived by his wife, Della Ann Weeks Pickard of Alapaha; a son-in-law, Billy Frank Large, Jr. of Tennessee; and one granddaughter, Virginia Ann Large.
