WORCESTER-Lillian P. (Warrington) LaFrenier, 80, of Worcester, died Thursday, May 18th, in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 53 years, Clifton N. LaFrenier, died in 2000. She leaves four daughters, Helen A. Cohen of Marlborough, Susan Brothers of Leicester, Leslie W. Treat and Beth M. LaFrenier, both of Worcester; six grandchildren, Christian Brothers, Karli Carr, Yuri Haroutian, Abra Owens, Caleb LaFrenier, and Gennah LaFrenier; three great grandchildren, Darren Carr, Joseph Carr, and Ryan Carney. Her son, Steven R. LaFrenier, died in 1997 and her brother, Harold R. Warrington died in 1988.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Harold R. and Ellen M. (Morrison) Warrington and lived in Watertown returning to Worcester 60 years ago. She graduated from Watertown High School and Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing. Lillian and her husband owned and operated the former Evans Manor Nursing Home for 30 years, before retiring in 1989. Lillian remained a Registered Nurse all of her life. She was an avid counted cross stitcher, scrabble player, book reader and animal lover, and received the most enjoyment from being a mother and grandmother.
A funeral service is Monday, May 22nd, at 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, May 21st, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM in the funeral home.
