Margery (Midge) P. Chittim passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022, with her friends and family at her side, at the age of 105. Midge was born on February 7, 1917.
Midge earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Bridgewater State University in 1937 and began her first teaching job in Lexington, Massachusetts, where she met her husband to be, Wendell Chittim.
Midge and Si were happily married for many years. They loved traveling together and visiting family. Midge deeply loved her family and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Midge taught second grade at the Abington Center School from September, 1956, until she retired in June of 1972.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA, with visiting hours beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington to follow.
