Willie Curtis Evers, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in Charlton County, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Evers was born August 2, 1952, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Henry & Lilliam Finley Evers. He was a truck driver for over 40 years, currently driving for Bennett Transportation. Mr. Evers loved fishing, the outdoors and camping. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Theresa Johnson of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Mellissa Evers & Wesley Brooks of Fitzgerald; two sons: Andrew Evers of Dole and Leroy Curtis Evers & Mary Kay of Ambrose; two step-sons: Dolton Johnson and Cody Johnson; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two sisters: Trudy Craft of Turner County and Mary Lou Massey of Omega; and a brother, Donald Joe Evers of Ty Ty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings and a grandson, Thomas Tyler Gunter.
