Obituary

Maureen Bridget (Rooney) Bradley, 72, of Sagamore Beach, formerly of Cochituate, died on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.
She was born in Natick on June 29, 1950 the daughter of the late John Henry Rooney and Lillian Jean (Butler) Rooney.
Maureen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves her loving husband of fifty-four years, Peter of Sagamore Beach. She also leaves behind her daughters, Bridget Bradley and Meghan Savage and sons-in-law James Fuller and Brendon Savage. She was the devoted grandmother to Morgan, Mackenzie, Mason, Andrew, Avery and Max. Maureen was the matriarch to siblings, Michael, Kathleen and John, Jr.
Maureen devoted her life to caring for others. She spent over fifty years lovingly caring for those with Alzheimer’s Disease and running support groups for their families. She was extremely dedicated to her work and touched the lives of thousands.
In her free time, Maureen loved the beach, reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She had an adventurous spirit and traveled to Ireland, Spain and England. Maureen was a beautiful shining light in this world and she will be terribly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Her family will receive family and friends to celebrate her life well lived on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Cochituate.
On Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:30 am, family and friends are asked to go directly to Good Shepherd Parish at St. ZEPHERIN CHURCH, 99 Main St (Rt 27), Cochituate for Maureen’s Mass of Christian burial.
Interment will follow in the Bradley family lot in Lakeview Cemetery.
Her family asks that all in attendance for Maureen’s services please wear bright happy colors in Maureen’s honor.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that gifts in Maureen’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 309 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
