Steven K. Morse, age 66, of New Bedford, formerly of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
Born in Brockton, MA on December 1, 1955, he was a loving son of Kenneth M. Morse and his wife Cheryl Larson Morse of North Easton and the late Joan G. (Ellis) Morse.
Steven grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton schools and attended Johnson & Wales University. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a Chef at Babson College, Wheaton College and at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton.
Steven very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Throughout his life he had a special place in his heart for animals, especially for his African Gray Parrot named “Gracie”.
In addition to his father Kenneth and Kenneth’s wife Cheryl, he is also survived by his devoted brother Kevin W. Morse of Norton, his aunt Jean Munro of Taunton, as well as his many loving cousins and treasured friends. Steven was the devoted brother-in-law of the late Maryellen Shields Morse.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Tuesday, September 27th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visitation for Steven will be held prior to services on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
