Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Frederick Field II, 54, of Billerica, Massachusetts passed away on September 15, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital, after a short but aggressive battle with lung cancer.  Tom was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Armstrong) Field who passed away in 2020.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on August 8, 1968, he was the son of Thomas Field and the late Karen (Oliver) Nelson. He was also the step son of David Nelson. Tom grew up in the Swede Village area of Lowell and attended Lowell Public Schools.

In his younger years, Tom worked in the carpentry field. He also spent many years working in the automotive industry. He previously owned and operated Awesome Automotive in Pelham NH.

Tom took pride in being a father and when his daughter was younger he would work hard to try to be the coolest Dad around. He would pack up all of the neighborhood kids and take them to places they enjoyed like Water Country and Canobie Lake Park. He also liked to build dirt bikes and go carts for the neighborhood kids to ride on. Tom loved collecting things and loved a good flea market trip with his brother Timmy. He was a lover of camping, and also a lover of the beach. He found much peace being by the ocean. He was an avid fisherman and would spend as much time as he could fishing with his brother Timmy and his nephew Sammy. Spending time with family is what mattered most to Tom, especially time spent with his grandchildren who he loved immensely.

Tom is survived by his children Tasha (Field) Kenney and her husband Joseph Kenney; Crystal (Armstrong) Agrela; Samuel Armstrong and his wife Jessica Armstrong; Four Grandchildren, Evan Sampson, Lydia Kenney, Luis & Cassie Agrela; A sister Katheryn Stutz and her husband Han Stutz; Two brothers Timothy Field, Michael Field and his wife Jessica Field; A foster sister Deborah Murphy; Several nieces and nephews Samuel Field, Emily, Kaitlin and Ryan Stutz, Cristian Maglio, Cosmo, Dominic and Anthony Field; Also his life long friend and daughter’s mother Cathy Creegan.

Tom will also be greatly missed by his many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins on both sides of his family who he loved very much, along with my many close friends. Tom was also predeceased by his Grandparents William and Katherine Oliver, and Cyril and Roger Field who were a very important part of his life; and a foster brother; Lorenzo “Rocky” Spingola
