LEICESTER: Charles J. "Charlie" Iannoli, Sr.,81, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died peacefully, Tuesday, Sept. 13 at his home after a battle with lung cancer.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Janet A. (Tower) Iannoli, his sons; Charles Iannoli, Jr. and his wife Karen of Oakham, James Iannoli and his wife Elvira of Spencer and Michael Iannoli and his wife April of Worcester, his daughter; Linda Wilson and her partner Ed Hart of No.Brookfield, his sisters; Antoinette Lacerte and Maria Shackett both of Worcester, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was a machinist at David Gessner Inc. in Worcester for many years prior to his retirement in 2003. He was an avid antique bottle collector. He enjoyed his weekly trips to the casino.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of James J. and Josephine (Cavalieri) Iannoli.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 16th. at 10 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 100 Trade Center Suite G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
