BOWES, Arthur J. of Jamaica Plain passed away peacefully September 8, 2022. Son of the late Lillian (Gravina) and Arthur Bowes. Beloved husband of 44 years to Pat (Campos) Bowes. Loving father of Joyce E. McDonnell and her husband David of Mansfield and Cheryl Ann Bowes of Prague. Cherished grandfather of Allison and Audrey McDonnell. Dear brother of Joanne Bowes and Patty Phillips and her husband Greg of Hingham. He was the brother of the late Richard Bowes. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime Sr. Vice-President of Human Resources at Partners Healthcare and an Adjunct Professor of Human Resources at many colleges and universities in Boston. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, September 13th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10 o’clock.
