Obituary

Adelfa R. (Olivelli) Pasciuto, age 95, a 62-year resident of Winchester, passed away on September 7, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Pasciuto.

Born in Somerville, Adelfa was the daughter of the late Dino and Francesca (Cangiano) Olivelli. She was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School with the class of 1945. After high school, she went to work for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for several years, before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Salvy, who graduated in her class at Somerville High School. She left Blue Cross/Blue Shield when her son was born, and the new family moved to Winchester.

A “homebody”, Adelfa’s focus shifted to her new family. She loved to cook and bake, and her family was most important to her. She always enjoyed preparing meals and sweets for daily dinners and holidays.

Adelfa is lovingly survived by her son, Robert C. Pasciuto of Winchester. She was the devoted sister of the late Mary Mazzella and her late husband Gene, the late Luigi R. Olivelli and his late wife Rose. She was also the dear aunt of Mark Mazzella, Louis Bonasera, Marianne Zilonis, Paul Bonasera, Barbara Pasciuto and the late Anne Mazzella. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 3-6PM, and again on Monday, Sept. 19 at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. https://www.alz.org/manh
