STANDISH- Charles Frederick Seyboldt, “Chuck” passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2022, at the age of 68.

Chuck was born on April 23, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to parents Carl W. Seyboldt and Caroline L. Doege. He was the oldest of four siblings. He moved to Standish, Maine in 1984 and married Joy Lord November 15, 1986.

Among his many academic achievements, he earned his BSME from Valparaiso University in 1977, became a licensed professional engineer in 1982, took several intellectual property classes at the Franklin Pierce law center in Concord, NH, in 1996, and Graduated from The University of Maine School of Law with honors in 1998.

For most of his working life Chuck was a consultant at Weinstein Associates, a business he took over when his business partner Alvin Weinstein retired. His work was centered around product safety and CE marking compliance. Prior to being self employed, Chuck worked for 6 years at Eaton Corporation and over 9 years at Nichols, Portland.

Chuck was an active member, as well as the Vice President, of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Gorham, Maine. He was easily recognized by his blue denim overalls and his uncanny ability to strike up a conversation with anyone nearby, at any time, regardless of where he was. Chuck was happiest when surrounded by music and his family, of which he kept many pictures and was very proud of.
