Limerick - Donna Lee Gilpatrick, 78, of Limerick died on August 27, 2022 at the Pinnacle Home in Sanford after a long illness. She was born in South Hiram, Maine on October 15, 1943 a daughter of Clarence H. Clark Jr. and Elva (Smith) Clark and was educated in local schools.
Donna had worked at the Limerick Shoe Factory and at Accessories Unlimited (The Bag Lady) in Cornish both for several years. By far the most important and rewarding job she had was being a babysitter for many children in Limerick over the years. Most of those kids affectionately called her "Auntie". Her favorite hobbies included crocheting, puzzles, cooking and baking. Donna will be sadly missed by many who loved her.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, Leslie "Buddy" Gilpatrick, and a nephew, Michael Ward. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Connie Reed and her husband Tom of Standish, and Brenda Crenner and husband Larry of Parsonsfield. Donna didn't have children of her own, and she was very close to her nieces and nephews. She was extremely close to her niece, Crystal Farinella and husband James, of Freedom, NH., Crystal's 3 children: Brandan Crenner and partner Kylee Mayne, Blake Allen and Lily Allen, and stepchildren: David, Nick and Chris Farinella. Her niece, Laurie Brulotte of Limerick and her 3 children: Christopher, Jade and Cory Brulotte, and Laurie's 4 grandchildren. Her nephew, Brian Ward and wife Pam of Hollis, and Brian's daughter, Stevie Jo Ward. Also another great niece, Amanda Jean Coney and her 4 children.
