Cecylia Petrykowska of Canton passed away August 27th. Born in Poland she spent most of her life in Elk, Poland before immigrating to the United States in 1984. After spending many years in Chelsea, Everett and Sharon, she has called Canton home for the last 20 years. She worked as a Nurse in the Pediatric Department of a Hospital in Elk, Poland and later as a Director of a Pre-school in Elk, Poland. In her free time she loved spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, gardening and having a good time. Beloved wife for 69 years of the late Franciszek Petrykowski. Mother of Bozena Wasil of Sharon and Janusz Petrykowski of Warsaw, Poland. Grandmother of Colleen Cushman Wasil of Mansfield and Kenneth Petrykowski of Warsaw, Poland. Great grandmother of Owen and Lucas Cushman. Sister of Elizabeth Gasior of N.H. and Genowefa Wedlarska of Poland, the late Mieczyslaw Chrzanowski, Edward Chrzanowski, Jadwiga Wrobel, Irena Maciukiewicz, Longina Jedrycha, and Halina Jurewicz. Visiting hour at the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St Canton on Thursday prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:30. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon Thursday at 10:00 am. Burial Knollwood Memorial park, Canton.
