ATTLEBORO - Virginia (Rezendes) Monteiro, age 91, residence 969 Park St,. Attleboro, MA., formerly of Sharps Lot Rd., Dighton, MA. & Read St., Somerset, MA, died Wednesday at the Attleboro Life Care Center. She was the wife of the late John S. Monteiro. She is survived by two Daughters: Margaret Martin of Dighton, MA and Patricia Mc Cann of Orlando, FL, Twenty-two Grandchildren, Twenty-eight Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late John J. and Robert Monteiro, and sister of the late Joseph and Antone Rezendes.
Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Joseph Rezendes and the late Mary(Cabral) Rezendes. She was a resident of Attleboro for the last few years. Before retiring, she was a Machine Operator at Tick Tock Frocks. She was a member of St. John of God Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Friday at 8:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., at 9:00 AM. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Thursday 5-9 P.M.
